Jibei's recaptured I suddenly hear at Jianmen Pass,
My tears can't help sprinkling on my garment, alas!
When I see my wife and kids, O where's their grief?
Packing up my books, I drown in joy beyond belief.
To sing aloud all the day I should drink much wine,
We can return home all the way with spring so fine.
From the Ba Gorge here thro’ the Wu Gorge there,
Thro’ Xiangyang to Luoyang – the Capital so fair.
